A/N#2: This came from me trying to, in my own way, canonize what the eighth doctor said, that his mother was human. He doesn't ever act it, there are no consequences (meaning no fewer regenerations) for his mother being human. I always think of Spock, and what he has to go through being half human, and it just seems to be nothing to the Doctor. There's some information from the show, some from the books, sort of blended to make this story.
